About YNPN

The Young Nonprofit Professionals Network (or YNPN) is a national 501(c)(3) grassroots nonprofit organization that engages and supports future nonprofit leaders through professional development, networking and social activities.

Beginning in 1997, as a small gathering of peers in San Francisco, YNPN has grown from word-of-mouth and local volunteer leadership teams, to a nearly 15,000-member network composed of chapters including the San Francisco Bay AreaNew York CityWashington, D.C.,MilwaukeeNew Orleans and San Diego, and dozens of emerging groups in other places across the country, including ours on the Central Coast.

In 2014, we invited a group of young nonprofit professionals to an initial meeting to discuss the viability of starting a local YNPN chapter for Santa Cruz, San Benito and Monterey Counties.

From that group of invitees, six stepped up to form our leadership team. They met for the first time on October 17, 2014, and have been on fire every since!
